This is a memorial of immortal Tamil poet-saint Thiruvalluvar. The shrine is a replica of the chariot temple of Thiruvarur. A giant statue, 39 mt tall, has been installed on the chariot. |
The 133 chapters of the poet's framework "Thirukkural" have been depicted in bas-relief in the front hall corridors of the chariot. It also has an auditorium which can accommodate 4000 people at a time and is the largest in Asia. |
